Muscle Ache

My sister bought a Wii console for our family on Xmas. Two days ago, she set up the console and we started playing. Since my second sis was not at home and my parents were not feeling well, my eldest sis and I had the Wii to ourselves. We played Tennis, Boxing, Bowling and Golf. Because I ran and use full swing for almost all the sports, now I am having muscle aches all over my body. Little did I know that there is no need for you to run and use full swing. All you need are to stand still and move your wrists. Geez!

I scored 215 for bowling and no one in my family can beat my score. My second sis has the potential to beat me because she can score strike turkey. Hahaha! But I could score strike forth!

Wii is fun... without the muscle ache. I couldn't sleep properly because my back hurts and I couldn't lift up my own hand because my arms hurt. I hope to recover before Saturday so that I could run and use full swing on the actual tennis session.

Happy New Year!

My day starts with "boom boom, even brighter than the moon moon moon" - fireworks!

I was chanting halfway and suddenly I heard sounds similar to thunder. Lol! This year is particularly special because there was a mini countdown at Tiong Bahru. We could see spectacular fireworks display from our window. I know grace could see it too because she stays at Tiong Bahru.

After chanting, I had a mini msn conference with Grace, LiXuan and HuiLing. Wingz couldn't online.

My first meal of 2011 was maggie mee!!! I love korean instanst noodle.

I went out with my Centre 3 friends this afternoon. It was really awesome to see them again. I didn't go for the previous few outings and today I eventually did! We went to Chevrons and spent my time eating and talking to Beatrice and Khim Geok.

While these people still remain the same, some other things have changed drastically. I am referring to CTSS. I guess I am lucky that I am not stuck in that school anymore.

I went home after the outing and studied Bio. There was this sentence that kept coming across my mind and it motivates me to study hard for Bio. "Bio is common sense to me" - Quoted from HuiLing. Lol! Thanks for that sentence :)

Supposedly, I had to complete Summation but I didn't because Channel V had distracted me. It was the top 20 songs in 2010 which resulted in me procrastinating for an hour. I really wish my parents subscribe to one mtv channel.

In addition, 98.7 was also playing top 100 countdown of 2010. Great! Love music!

Waiting for The End

This is not the end, this is not the beginning, just a voice like a riot rocking every revision - Linkin Park.

Today is the end of 2010, and tomorrow will mark the beginning of 2011. Before embarking on a new journey, I spent my last moments with my close friends.

I had a sweet outing with Grace, WingTong, LiXuan and HuiLing. Finally we had an outing. We were supposed to go bowling but due to the long waiting list, we didn't. Despite that, we still had fun because we were busy taking memorable pictures. The fact that we cannot meet up as often as in 2009 highlights the importance of all these pictures. (We are not self-absorbed.) :)

I was not able to eat sakae buffet with them because I had to go to meet my another close friend, ShuEn. Wingz didn't go eat with them as well, if I'm not mistaken, because she had another appointment.

ShuEn aka da zhu and I have known each other for 7-8 years already. I can't imagine how time flies. We met up at lao di fang = Tiong Bahru. Afterwards, we ate at Ajisen Ramen and had a long chat. I love this kind of chats because it is really awesome to know that there is someone who will be there for you when you are in need and that someone is willing to open up to you.

I hope that the problems faced this year will ultimately be resolved in 2011 and make us grow stronger.

I see Bili's blog full of resolutions heh.. hmm. I wonder how many can he complete. Lol! On the contrary, I had only a few resolutions. Hehehe secret. Shhh..

I need to do a chanting countdown soon!

Happy New Year!

Part-Time Job

Hello! It has been a long time since I have updated my blog. I love slacking at home; using the computer, listening to music and watching television. Females are good at multi-tasking.

The reason why I didn't blog for a week (or maybe more than a week) is because I had a part-time job from Monday to Friday. My job is a sales promoter selling abalones. Sounds boring right? Yes, actually it was quite boring after day 1. Imagine yourself repeating the same lines over and over again for 5 days.

"Hi good afternoon sir/madam. Do you wish to buy abalone? This can of abalone is from New Zealand. Inside is one and a half piece. This can is from Australia, inside there are 4 to 7 pieces of small abalones. The Australia abalone is slightly softer than the New Zealand one since the New Zealand is more chewy. Next is mexico abalone. it costs $78 because inside is one full piece, bigger than New Zealand abalone."

I can say the above paragraph extremely fast now. I can also memorize the before and after discount prices.

Even though selling abalone was boring, the job was still enjoyable because my jc classmates were working as well. Except that they were not selling abalones, they were in-charged of packing the products. Packing the products may sound boring but at least they had the opportunity to slack around and work together with their friends. I only joked and talked to them during lunch break.

Sometimes I would leave my stall and do the packing as well. However, on the last day of work, I got scolded by my manager for leaving my stall for too long. Leaving Sok Hwa alone for a long period. In the end I was sort of like grounded at my stall. Fortunately I got grounded, because the manager asked sok hwa to pick up litter after that.

Oh yeah, talking about sok hwa. She is my sister's friend. Her job was the same as mine, a promoter for abalones. Working with her was fun because at least she made the job less boring. Sok Hwa even joined in for the Seoul Garden dinner with us. Roy, especially, could get along well with her. ^^

Ray, Roy, Alvin and Jonathan will be working on January for the New Year sales, doing the same job as this sales. As for me, I will not be going back to work on January because I think studies take a higher priority. Hmm.. overall, I would say that this part-time job was pretty fun. The only things that were disappointing was that snobbish manager and stereotypical image of females. -.-

POSB Card

Yesterday my mother brought me to the bank at Tiong Bahru to transfer our sharing account to my name and open another account for my atm card. We queued for about 30 minutes before it was our turn. My mother expected this long queue already but she still ended up getting pissed for the long queue. As for me, I thought the queue will be longer just like that time when I queued to get S.H.E signatures.

I would say that the service of the staff is really efficient. Because my previous sharing account was signed using my thumbprint since I was very young at that time, I need to use my thumbprint again to cancel this sharing account. The lady serving us grabbed my thumb and punched the ink, punched document number 1 and then punched document number 2. It felt as though my thumb was not mine.

The lady asked if I would like to have nets and debit or just nets alone. My mum said both. I didn't quite understand what they were talking about. What is the difference between debit and nets?

After receiving my bank books, one for savings account and one for atm account, I was so excited and motivated and inspired to save up a lot of money. I think it is quite late for me to own one card because I know a lot of my 4D1 classmates and my soka friends already own one since monkey years ago.

My mum and I went to eat at Ajisen Ramen and then I used my posb card to foot the bill. The guy asked Master or Nets and I replied Master even though I still don't know the difference. Then my mum explained to me that when you said Master, you have to sign. On the other hand, if you opt for nets, you have to key in your pin numbers.

Then we went to the bank again to deposit the sum of money for the food. This is quite funny because my mum can just foot the bill but because she wanted me to learn how to pay for my food and how to deposit. Lol! So nice!
