AVA Week
It has been a busy week for me since I had to end school very late from Monday till Friday except Tuesday since there was no academic planner.
Monday
My lessons end at 5pm.
Tuesday
Lessons end at 2.30pm. Thank god that there is no academic planner.
Wednesday
This was the day that the stress built up. Wednesday I went to comp lab 5 to settle the ava farewell party to help out as much as I can. I could predict that everything would be chaos but I need to act as if everything was alright. I can't afford to be panic. At 4pm, I rushed to cc to set up the microphones for college day rehearsal. I was at a disadvantage because I did not have prior experience to handle the sound system in cc. If someone were to display authority towards me, I have no choice but to obey her words since she knows everything. Fortunately, desmond was involved in the college day so I could count on him.
For the first time, I held a walkie talkie to communicate with the teachers in-charge. I thought it was cool but in fact, it was pretty uncomfortable because I could not hear two things at the same time. When someone was talking through the walkie talkie, I could not hear what my ava members were trying to tell me. Another thing is that I find it very weird to say the word 'over' after every sentence. For example, "This is Charmaine Oh from AVA, when do we need to on the stage lights? Over" This is like some security guards' behavior.
The teacher in-charge of ava for college day is Mr Moses Tan. He is a little sissy and I couldn't understand why he did not button his second button. So not-pleasant-to-see.
Everything ended at 8pm I guess.
Thursday
That day was the busiest day. My heart sank when Imma told me that Miss Hon put her in charge for ava just because she could make it for today's (which was Thursday) rehearsal. Lynnette consoled me during my break. It was just disappointing or perhaps I'm power-hungry. I wanted to tell johnny everything but he told me he wasn't free.
During my last break, my phone was constantly ringing. My ava members kept asking me where do they meet, what time do they meet and what to do. It was all about the dj booth for the hoops of wheels. I admit that I did a bad job in getting the details right and allocation of jobs. Meanwhile, I was late for my Maths lesson because I needed to settle the problems first before I could enter the class.
When I thought everyhting was settled, I stepped in the classroom and apologized to my teacher for being late. Just then, my phone vibrated and I rushed out of the class to pick up the call. The second time I entered the class, Mr Teo, my Maths teacher, asked, "have you finished settling your stuffs?" Gosh that was so embarrassing.
After school, I rushed to cc for another rehearsal. It was a last minute notification but I had to do because I need to brief the rest on the updated changes while Imma had something on tomorrow morning.
Everything ends at 7pm.
FridayCollege day came and I felt so bad for leaving Lynnette alone. She was so bored and no one wanted to attend the origami course with her. So she went alone. How independent. If it was me, I would just give up going for that course. Pearly, Amanda and Mum Yee wanted to watch movie with me after the learning festival but I had to do duty for college day. They were blaming me and I told them to go without me. Instead, they canceled the whole outing and planned to watch it another day with me. So touching.
I was so nervous and busy to eat my lunch and dinner. I thought I would be in hot soup because I forgot to remind some people to wear proper full uniform for college day duty. Luckily they managed to borrow it from other people.
Everything went smoothly on the actual college day. Oh! In the end I was in-charge again because I was an angel in front of Miss Hon. Hahahaha
